5 Top SEO Tips
By Janay Harris
1.Make your website about one thing.
Your website can be about different things but have a dominant focus on one topic that is most essential to your message. This is important so you may want to do keyword research before choosing a topic.
2. Mention keywords where they matter most.
Include one thing in the title, domain name, description, tagline, keywords, blog categories, page titles and page content.
3. Link to internal pages on your site.
Content management systems can automatically link your website to internal pages on your website, but if yours does not you should intentionally link your pages directly from your homepage and cross link with each other.
4. Use a permalink structure that includes keywords.
Some websites have permalink structures that are not so appealing, as they use numbers to identify pages. Do not use this method, as it is bad for your SEO and does not look good. Use a URL structure that includes texts and makes sure keywords are in the URL’S.
5. Link to other websites with relevant content.
You can do this by including a blogroll, link list, or resources page on your website. However, if you do it well and people click your links, this tells search engines you are a trusted authority on your particular topic.
